Oleum

From the essential comes the particular

Oleum was born in 2019 from the bet of two young entrepreneurs who saw in an old dilapidated glass factory in the characteristic alleys of Ortigia, the right place to create an idea, a project, a new entrepreneurial reality.
Oleum is a culinary and gastronomic journey, a meeting of tastes, flavors, smells and above all emotions and people.
  Pizza is not just a dough to which you add ingredients: it is careful research, passion, effort and love.

  it represents a moment of union and sharing.
Despite the difficult time they went through due to the pandemic, the oleum family decided to bet and expand by creating a new project this time on the slopes of Etna: Zafferana etnea.

In addition to attention to good food, customer care and hospitality have always been important to us. For this reason the project  it has been expanded even further with the b & b "seasily by oleum", a small nest overlooking the Zafferana Etna belvedere where you can relax and escape from the daily routine.

The care for the essence of the raw materials is necessary for the realization of the best result.
A continuous and careful research of slow food, DOP and IGP products characterizes our menu.
The choice between classic long leavening dough or with cereals to be associated with a selection of
spiced oils, to satisfy everyone's needs and tastes.

The aperitif has long been considered a  moment of peaceful sharing. A space of the day where you can leave the heaviest moments behind and meet up with good friends over a good cocktail.
At oleum we pay attention to every single detail. Small delicacies will accompany our cocktails: from the classics known by all to the most particular mixes.

Ortigia

Ortigia emerges from the waters of the Ionian Sea along the eastern coast of Sicily, a few hundred meters from the mainland.
In the heart of Ortigia, oleum is born.
Precisely in via dei candelai, a stone's throw from Porta Marina in a characteristic alley.
The typical white stone of Syracuse meets another raw material: iron!

Zafferana

Located in the splendid Piazza di Zafferana Etna, at the foot of Mount Etna.
The splendid view of the Belvedere characterizes our restaurant. Pure air and good food together create a perfect match!
